One Step Beyond! The Chelsea Football FanCast #184

Chidge and the boys are in great form and good voice as they discuss a great Chelsea win v Citeh and a Proper Chels performance from the Chelsea support.

What an amazing night, before during and after the Match against Citeh!! A good old fashioned tough match which Chelsea won dramatically, only bettered by one of the best performances by us, the supporters, that we’ve seen at the Bridge for a good long while. But let’s face it, it has been a great week – Fulham beat Liverpool; we beat Valencia to top our Champions’ League group, City and Utd face the ignominy of the Europa league and even Spurs lost to Stoke. We discuss all the ins and outs of the great win against the league leaders and probably the best team of the season so far and award our Match Awards -  the ‘Fannies’ - for Man of the Match, Chant of the match, Guinness and Celery moments.

We also announce the competition winners from the John King competition and the chance to win yet more VIP hospitality and match day tickets with 188Bet. Finally, a barnstorming edition of “Shall we sing a song for you” this week as we’re in celebratory mood, whilst Chidge’s over celebration means he forgot to do a ‘DLBIA’! In spite of the absence of Dr Mart this week, ChelTel answers your questions in 'Dear Mart' and we read the best posts from the week out in “You’re on CFFC”.

Biffa Bacon Biffed! The Chelsea Football FanCast #183

The Chelsea FanCast ‘firm’ is joined by author of “The Football Factory” and lifelong Chelsea supporter John King to discuss the win against the Geordies, his love of Chelsea, and his many books.

Chelsea are back, Chelsea are back!! Well at least Glorious Unpredictability is. After an insipid performance in midweek against the loathsome scousers, we bounced back with a good win against Newcastle and in the process leapfrogged them to the dizzy heights of 4th place in the table. Happy days!!

We discuss all the ins and outs of the Newcastle game and conveniently ignore the Liverpool game, as well as awarding our Match Awards -  the ‘Fannies’ - for Man of the Match, Chant of the Match, Guinness and Celery moments.

John King, author of The Football Factory, Headhunters, England Away, Human Punk and Skinheads, and a Chelsea supporter since 1970 joins us to discuss following Chelsea and England home and away, his many books and the film version of his debut novel – The Football Factory.

Plus he gets to choose the song in ‘Shall we sing a song for you’ – can you guess what it is yet?

Finally, Dr Mart answers your questions in ‘Dear Mart’ and we read the best posts from the week in ‘You’re on CFFC’.

Hungry, unlike Wolves! The Chelsea Football FanCast #182

Chidge and the boys are joined by Danny & Kyle who made their first trip to Stamford Bridge courtesy of the Make a Wish Foundation and discuss the win against Wolves and meeting the players!

Back to winning ways on Saturday with a 3-0 win over the not so mighty Wolves. But have we really turned the corner or will be facing more ‘Glorious Unpredictability’ in the weeks to come. Good to see Romeu make an impressive premier league debut, but no Super Frank Lampard? And what was all the nonsense from the MHL about Torres and Drogba? Either way, it looks like Chelsea’s appetite for winning games and scoring goals is back, so amen to that!

And talking of healthy appetites (for Guinness at any rate) we all had a good night in the Imperial with one of the best turn outs we’ve seen in there. We have a good old natter about the ins and outs of the Wolves game as well as awarding the ‘Fannies’ for Man of the Match, Chant of the match, Guinness and Celery moments later in the show.

Special guests on the show this week are Danny Bremer-Bennett and Kyle Bergen who made a wish to watch their beloved Chelsea play at Stamford Bridge. Thanks to the Make a Wish Foundation it came true. We talk to the boys about their special trip over to the home of football.

On ‘DLBIA’ this week we look back at arguably the greatest Chelsea player of all time, the only challenger to the title King of Stamford Bridge. And of course we wrap up proceedings with a few ‘Dear Mart’s’ for Dr Mart to answer and the best posts from the week in ‘You’re on CFFC’.

And last but by no means least RIP Gary Speed.

Chelsea Football FanCast

The Chelsea Football FanCast is a weekly internet radio show dedicated to the Chels. The show is the real deal with real opinions and banter from lifelong fans that go to the games and live in the manor!

Presented by Chelsea nut David 'Stamford Chidge' Chidgey, the show discusses the latest Chelsea issues from the fans perspective. Chidge is usually joined by Dr Mart, Chel Tel, the Blues Brothers (Stu and Chris), and Ross - the mates he goes to the games with to carry on the pub banter on the podcast.

In addition, when they can be begged, borrowed or stolen, some of the Football Pundits, Journalists, ex-Players and legends, Chelsea authors and Celebs and downright nutters Chidge knows make guest appearances on the show.

Expect banter, biased opinion, and downright nonsense all in the Blue cause. The show is the best, most authentic and totally independent Chelsea podcast on the planet. If you don’t believe us check out what our listeners have to say:

"If you are a die hard supporter, a CFC for life, or even if you're a new fan of the team or the game stop here and listen to these chaps give it straight. They are honest supporters who give you the latest in news around the Bridge. Learn some of our songs and fly the blue flag high. I must admit I found this about two months ago and wish it was a daily podcast sometimes. Up the Blues. Up this podcast. Enjoy." Felix Verran

"Been listening to the show for about 6 months now. Never fails to cheer me up during the week. Beer, banter and Chelsea bias. Great lads who do a great show representing a great team. If you love the Chels and want to have a laugh listening to pre/post match discussions of games by real fans then this is the perfect podcast. Love it!!!" Ashes2Ashes

"Being from the US it's hard to find good support for Chelsea. This is an excellent podcast. The guys are serious supporters. Tales from the Shed is great. Keep it up!" RU Sam

"Why listen to Gigi Salmon when you can get real opinions from Chidge, Mart , Chel Tel and the rest of the lads? A must for all Blues fans young and old." Torres is Carragher's bit on the side

"This podcast and website are the best thing to happen to me as a Chelsea fan.The podcast, articles and the message board I just love it. Thank You guys for volunteering your time to connect us across the pond to Stamford Bridge" J Kane

"Great podcast guys, I look forward to hearing your thoughts on Chelsea after every game, keep it up!" Lev Maximovsky

"The Chelsea football fancast is a testament to the things that loyal supporters want. Totally free of charge, completely biased and completely blue. Being a young-ish blue these guys have given me the opportunity to meet new people and make lots of new Chelsea mates, so I don't have to go alone on match days like I used to, which sums up the great camaraderie between Chels fans." Stuart Thomas

"Guys, great podcasts! Ross's "chink in the defence" remark was probably the funniest thing i've heard in a while...i was in the dining hall eating lunch and nearly spit my water out all over some people walking by. i'm sure i speak for all chelsea fans who need an emotional lift when i say ...job well done to you all. keep up the good work and up the chels! Oh yes..." Benjamin Faust
